WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Members of a Democratic rules committee voted on Saturday to seat all of Florida's and Michigan's delegation to the party's national convention and give their delegates a half vote each.
Members of the Democrats' rules committee discuss the delegate issue Saturday.
1 of 4 A first vote, which would have seated all of Florida's delegation with full voting privileges, failed.
After the results were announced, spectators started to boo and his and some started chanting, "Denver! Denver!" the site of the party's convention in August.
Democrats fear that a protracted battle over the issue all the way to the convention could split the party and weaken it's chances of winning the White House in November.
Will Clinton take this to Denver? Will they follow up on Ickes threat to go to the Credentials committee? Was this decision fair in your opinion?
I hope not. I hope not and I think so.
Curses! You beat me to this seed! :)
This was pretty much the outcome I expected. Other states will think twice before disobeying party rules in the future. I'm hoping this doesn't get appealed to the Credentials committee. A floor fight does nothing to unify the party.

Hey, sorry DBZ :(, but hey someone else beat me to the Obama story and now she's got 180 comments and she's on the front page as a top seed. But the clincher is ...this is her first seed!

I'm glad they sent a poignant message for elections in the future. The rules are the rules and if 48 states abided by them - 2 can't rewrite them. A good slap on the wrist was a good message. I believe in the words of the West Virginia Committe member (I forget her name) when she said the rules are the rules. Clinton shouldn't be angry she got the lion's share of the delegates she won and the voters voices were heard. This shouldn't disenfranchise anyone come November.

Getting 180 comments on a Saturday is quite good, suspiciously good, especially since this is her first seed. I'm no conspiracy theorist, but something doesn't smell right. On a typical weekend, my daily hit count is 1/10th of what it is during the work week because most 'Viners do their 'Vining while at work.

Yes, another Viner noted this, wrote a note about it and reported it. NV is aware of it b/c like you said getting 180 comments and being a top seeder with yoiur first story is an incredible feat. I've been working my way up since March, you know?
Seems there is something fishy going on with these commenters with an excessive amount of numbers behind their names (LUCY 234565 and steve2345945). Watch for that. Seems their infiltrating NV. Let me know if you find out anything
The thing that I wanted to see here is the unseating of the superdelegates who were responsible for moving up the primaries in the first case. Oh well. This will do.
Apparently the Republicans are going to get their own little platform fight. So don't think that either party is going to be all that unified going into the 10 week sprint....
